During your time in the Doula-to-Midwife program, you’ll be guided by a midwife with over 10 years of experience and more than 500 births attended.
Gain advanced skills including:
Supporting labor at home
Recognizing danger signs
Identifying active labor and knowing when to transition to the hospital to reduce interventions
Promoting optimal nutrition and hydration during labor
Encouraging movement and positioning for comfort and progress
Supporting therapeutic rest
Managing client expectations and creating effective birth plans
Providing lactation support

Apply for the NGM Doula-to-Midwife program.

Attend a DONA approved Doula Workshop.
Save time and money with resources provided by NGM!

Attend 10 NGM births as part of the Doula-to-Midwife program.
Learn and observe how to support labor and natural birth.
Three of these births will cover your certification requirement!

Receive a Certificate of Accomplishment as a NGM trained doula.

Support yourself through Midwifery school as a professional doula!
Learn the process of billing insurance for services.
Most importantly, a list of clients through the NGM referral program.

Apply to Midwifery School and/or a Midwife’s Assistant training workshop.

As a student midwife, complete your clinical experience (2+ years) under the careful supervision of NGM.
